The number of people arrested for DUI in Grundy County decreased year over year. The Grundy County Circuits Clerk’s Office said 307 DUI’s were filed in 2021 and 295 in 2022.
Even though there was a decrease, Grundy County Sheriff Ken Briley said his office had an increase in DUI arrest.
Briley also had this to say.
Meanwhile, the Morris Police Department arrested 119 people for DUI in 2021 and 67 in 2022. Twenty-two individuals were arrested for DUI by the Minooka Police Department in 2021 and 2022 and six by the Coal City Police Department in 2022, which was down one from 2021.
Grundy County had 268 DUI’s in 2020, 280 in 2019 and 218 in 2018.
