A 60-year-old Morris man was sentenced in Grundy County on November 21st. James Gabehart was charged with the Unlawful Delivery of Cannabis, a class two felony; Unlawful Possession of Cannabis as well as four counts of the Unlawful Possession of Weapons by a Felon, all class three felonies.
Gabehart possessed a .32 caliber handgun, .270 caliber rifle, .22 caliber rifle and .32 caliber ammunition somewhere in the Grundy County area on January 29th of this year. The Illinois State Police and Metropolitan Area Narcotics Squad investigated the case.
Gabehart pled guilty to one of the class three felony gun charges and was sentenced to 180 days in the Grundy County Jail. He was also placed on 30 months of probation. Gabehart was convicted of selling drugs from Grundy County in 2001.
