The Grundy County Law and Justice Committee recently discussed the issue of school safety.
The discussion was led by Grundy County Sheriff Ken Briley.
Committee member Doug Boresi asked about the possible costs.
Briley also had this to report.
The Grundy County Sheriff’s Office covers two schools in Mazon, two in Gardner and one each in Bracville and South Wilmington as well as Nettle Creek.
The Sheriff’s Office has been in contact with each school about having a school resource officer and if they could help with the costs. No decision was made by the committee as discussions are expected to continue.
