William “Bill” C. Wilson, 69, of Morris, passed away suddenly Tuesday, June 30, 2020. Born in Morris on July 11, 1950, he was the son of the late Thomas and Frances (Aimone) Wilson.
Bill was raised and educated in Morris. He attended Morris High School where he was an exceptional wrestler and football player. He graduated with the class of 1968 and attended Western University. He worked as a laborer for Local 75, working for O’Brien Construction, Perceko and Palumbo Construction before retiring from D Construction. Bill married Linda Cryder in August of 2005. He was a fan of all sports, especially his beloved Chicago Bears and Chicago White Sox.
Bill is survived by his wife, Linda; sisters Kathy (Jim) Miller and Linda (Don) Mitchell; mother in law, Shirley Cryder; brother-in-law, Ken Cryder; sister-in-law, Kim Cryder (Tim Blankenstein); brother-in-law Robert (Dawn) Cryder; and nieces and nephews. He will be missed dearly by his loving dogs, Junebug, Buddy and Lizzie.
He is preceded in death by his parents; stepson, Shawn Sterritt; and brother, Tom.
Aqua cremation rites will be accorded and private burial will be held at a later date.
