Teresa M. Yokubonis, age 73 years, of Morris, IL., passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Morris Hospital.

She was born on June 16, 1947 in Elmhurst, IL. to Edward and Marion (nee Bugarewicz) Augustyniak. She grew up in that area and attended York Community High School where she met James Yokubonis. After his military service, they married on September 23, 1967. Teresa and Jim raised their own family and she worked as secretary for their family business, Pyramid Painting. They eventually settled in the Morris area where Teresa enjoyed their lake home. She would take food to feed the fish out on the dock in the evening, and the fish recognized her and would swim up to get their treats. She enjoyed flower gardening and was a lover of all animals, especially her many rescue dogs over the years and including her latest dog, Max.  Teresa also believed in giving to her community, and for over 15 years she spent every Monday helping with the St. Vincent Table at the Assumption Catholic Church where she was a member.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, James; her mother, Marion Feely of Morris; her daughter, Denise (Phil) Trimble of Geneva; her son, Mark (Caroline) Yokubonis of Morris; her 9 grandchildren: Alanna, Brandon, Claudia, Joey, Samantha Y, Dean, Marla Jane, Matthew and Samantha T.; and her two sisters, Sandy (Dale) Finucane of Plainfield and Marylou Ferrante of Morris.

She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Augustyniak; her daughter, Nicole Morris and her granddaughter, Grace Marion Morris.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Vincent Table. So that her family may take the donations themselves, if mailing please send donations to the family home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, January 15, 2021 at the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 245 South Kankakee Street, Coal City, IL. 60416.  with Father Raed Bader officiating. Burial will be at Mazon Brookside Cemetery.
