Mary A. Mahoney, 64, of Minooka passed away Friday morning October 2, 2020. Born on October 23, 1955 in Fort Benning, Georgia, she was the daughter of Donald and the late Barbara (Rafter) Mahoney.
Mary lived most of her adult life in Worth, Illinois, raising her family. She worked as a supervisor for Freedom in Aurora. Mary was a loving mother and grandmother. She loved traveling with her grandchildren and just being with them. She was known as the family jokester and always had a smile. She was an avid Chicago Blackhawks fan and had a love for lighthouses. She enjoyed genealogy and tracing her ancestry. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Mary is survived by her loving children Crystal Aylward, Gina LaGioia and Richard Gonzalez III; her grandchildren Alyssa, Johnathan, Jasmine, Madeline, Lydia, Michael, Ryan, Rocky, Joseph and Nathan; her great grandchildren Lilliana and Eliza and one more great grandchild on the way; sister Linda and brother Daniel (Norma); and father Donald.
She is preceded in death by her mother Barbara and brother Joseph.
A visitation for Mary will be held on Tuesday October 6, 2020 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the U.C. Davis-Callahan Funeral Home in Morris. A celebration of Mary’s life will follow immediately at 7:00 pm.
