Marie L. Taylor, 89, of Morris, passed away Tuesday, March 30, 2021. Born in Morris on January 31, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Velva (Swind) Callas.

Marie grew up in Morris and graduated from Morris High School with the class of 1950. She married Robert M. Taylor on July 22, 1961 in the First United Methodist Church in Morris. Marie worked as a sales associate for over 40 years until her retirement. She was an active member with the First Baptist Church in Morris and lifelong member with the Women of the Moose Chapter #544. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family, especially her grandchildren.

Marie is survived by her son Michael (Sherrie) Taylor of Morris; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and close friend Mary Warrick.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Robert on April 1, 1986; and sister Irene Cromer.

Memorials may be made in Marie’s name to either the Morris Hospital or Park Pointe Nursing Home.

A visitation for Marie will be held on Monday, April 5, 2021 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the U.C. Davis-Callahan Funeral Home in Morris. A Celebration of Marie’s life will follow at 12:00 pm, officiated by Pastor Steve Larson. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.

Due to COVID-19 requirements, safe social distancing will be required and we are asking for visitors to wear their masks while visiting the family.
