Erlan “Zeb” Domagala age 92, of South Wilmington, IL passed away Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee, IL.
Zeb was born on May 10, 1928 in Grundy County, IL to the late Anton and Pauline (nee Lavicka) Domagala. He lived his entire life in South Wilmington with his wife Louise, she preceded him in death in 2008. Zeb served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a laborer with Local #75 and a former member of the South Wilmington VFW. In his spare time, Zeb enjoyed watching sports, gardening, and fishing.
Surviving are one step-grand-daughter, Trudi (Phil) Cheshareck; one step great-grandson, Dane Peterson; three sisters, Lucille Lawless, Viola Crater, and Irene (Peachy) Wakeman, along with many nephews, nieces, and friends.
Zeb was preceded in death by his parents, Anton and Pauline Domagala; his wife, Louise (nee Ulbrich) Domagala, whom he married December 4, 1954; step daughter, Dell (Harry) Peterson; step grandson, Lou Peterson; step great-grandson, Josh Mellen; one brother, Anton; two brothers-in-law, Donald and Lyle; and nephew, Daryl.
Per Zeb’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded and a private inurnment will take place at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
