Donna M. Palmer of Morris passed away Tuesday October, 12 2021. Born July 26, 1939 in Joliet, she graduated from Joliet Central in 1957. She married James “Phil” Palmer on August 1, 1957 and they recently celebrated 64 happy years of marriage.

For 26 years, she worked as a tool and die maker at Joliet CAT. Donna loved to play bunco and watch sports and her favorite team was the Redskins. However, not even the Redskins could compare to the love of her grandkids’ sporting events; she never missed a single one. She loved taking small trips with her friends, but her true love was her family.

She’s survived by her children, James (Nancy) Palmer Jr. of Marseilles, Deborah Button of Morris, and William (Amy) Palmer of Geneva, her brother; Dale (Carol) Blum. Her grandchildren; Michelle (Chad) Nolte, Renee (Chris) Taylor, Alexandra (Tim) Bass, Tyler Button, and Zachary and Noah Palmer, along with six great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Donna is preceded in death by her parents, Eleanor (nee Hulbert) and Robert Blum, one of her brothers, Robert Blum, her great-grandchild Chris Coyle.

Services will be held Friday October 15, from 4 pm to 7 pm at U.C. Davis-Callahan Funeral Home. A celebration of Donna's life will follow at 7pm officiated by Celebrant Carol Walker. Memorials can be made to Lightways Hospice in Joliet.
