Carsen R. Smith, 18, of Grand Ridge, passed away Friday October 8, 2021, from injuries received in an auto accident. Born October 14, 2002, in Morris, he was the son of Raymond and Shannon (Reppine) Smith.

Carsen was a recent graduate of Ottawa High School. He was an outgoing and adventurous person who loved riding dirt bikes, mudding and playing basketball.

Carsen is survived by his loving parents Raymond and Shannon; brother Hunter and Ty, both of Grand Ridge and his sister Morgan of Alabama. His maternal grandparents Lonnie Reppine Jr. of Marseilles and Jerry and Jene Pittsenburger of Ottawa. His special friend James Bayer of Seneca and great grandmother Claurice Abernathy.

He is preceded in death by Ray’s parents Charles and Germain Worthington.

A memorial service for Carsen will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2021, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at the Church of the Nazarene in Marseilles.  Immediately following, will be a celebration of Carsen’s life officiated by Pastor Bill Clark.  A private inurnment will take place at a later date.

Aqua Cremation rites will be accorded.
