Yorkville Police say a man found asleep behind the wheel of a vehicle that was still in the roadway has been charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, DUI Over.08 and was cited for Illegal Stopping or Parking on the Roadway.
Police say the incident happened last week on Tuesday evening when officers were called around 5:28 p.m. to the intersection of E. Van Emmon St., just east of Route 47.
Thirty-seven-year-old Breck Bryant of E. Hydraulic St. in Yorkville was allegedly found asleep, behind the wheel of the vehicle that was still in the roadway.
Bryant was evaluated by Bristol-Kendall EMS and was released on scene.
Police said in a statement on Monday that after an investigation, Bryant was arrested on the charges. Kendall County Jail records show he was booked and his since posted bond to be released.
