An out-of-state man was arrested by the Morris Police Department in the early morning hours of Monday, November 23rd.

Police officials were at a gas station on Romines Drive in Morris investigating a theft of a vehicle. During the investigation, officers noticed John Koria, 36, of Wheatland Wyoming sitting in a car that was parked nearby Police officials said they allegedly saw cannabis in Koria’s vehicle.

After further investigation, Koria was found to be in a vehicle that was from Colorado, but had been stolen from Nashville, Tennessee. Koria was arrested and charged with Possessing a Stolen Motor Vehicle, a class two felony.

Police officials say Koria is wanted on several Michigan and Wyoming warrants. He remains in the Grundy County Jail on a $50,000 bond.
