A 31-year-old woman who kicked a Minooka Police Officer in the chest last March was sentenced in Grundy County.
Ashley Beierwaltes pled guilty to Aggravated Battery to a Police Officer, a class two felony and was sentenced to three years of probation. She was also sentenced to four days in the Grundy County Jail and must submit to periodic drug testing.
Minooka Police Chief Justin Meyer said Beierwaltes was at a liquor establishment when she was told to leave. After refusing to leave, Beierwaltes shoved an employee at the business.
A short time later, Meyer said Beierwaltes kicked an officer in the chest as he was putting her in the squad car.
