A Morris woman was sentenced on two felony charges in Grundy County on Tuesday, July 7th.

In March of 2020, 47-year-old Attilah Shaw entered into a blind plea on the charges of unlawful possession of a controlled substance and driving on a revoked license while having between four and nine prior convictions, both class four felonies.

During a sentencing hearing on July 7th, Shaw was sentenced to one year in the Illinois Department of Corrections and given credit for serving 17 days in the Grundy County Jail.

In March of 2019, Shaw was arrested by the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office for driving while license revoked and for unlawfully possessing alprazolam and hydrocodone.
