One person remains in critical condition following a two vehicle accident that occurred south of Coal City on November 28th.

The Grundy County Sheriff’s Department said a vehicle driven by Madison Pickles, 20, of Reddick was stopped at the intersection of Berta and Reed Road when for unknown reasons she drove into the intersection and was struck on the driver side door by a vehicle driven by Josh Clements, 37, of Coal City.

Pickles was airlifted to Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove. Clements and a passenger in Pickles vehicle, Dakota Jones, 25, of Braceville was transported to a local hospital and later released.

The accident remains under investigation by the Grundy County Sheriff’s Department.
