The Village of Minooka has released a storm cleanup update. Officials are asking that you place your tree debris at the curb no later than this Sunday, September 12th.
The Village will be utilizing the Illinois Public Works Mutual Aid Network to pick up the remaining piles during the beginning of next week. Any branches, tree trunks, dangerous/unsafe trees, or dangerous hanging limbs from trees on private property need to be placed at the curb no later than this weekend to utilize the assistance.
Reminder, burning of yard waste is prohibited within the Village limits. Due to the recent severe weather, the Village has partnered with NuWay to accept extra garbage on their normal pickup routes for the week of September 13-17. This does not include white goods, electronics, tires, or hazardous material. Construction material and concrete will not be accepted.
Broken fences must be cut down and tied in bundles not to exceed four feet in length, and not to exceed 50 pounds per bundle. Fence posts with concrete attached will not be accepted. Please bag any loose debris, and have all garbage at the curb by 6am on your normal day of pickup.
