The death of a 39-year-old Verona woman has been ruled a homicide. That announcement was made by Grundy County Coroner John Callahan and Grundy County Sheriff Ken Briley in a press release on Monday morning.
The body of Elizabeth Link was found inside her burned out house at 3200 South Verona Road around 5:40 a.m. on May 14th. Callahan and Briley have deemed the death a homicide as the result of an “undetermined inflicted trauma”. An autopsy was completed later that day along with toxicology tests.
Briley and Callahan said this is an active ongoing investigation with the goal of bringing justice for Elizabeth. Briley also said that Links boyfriend is a person of interest in the case and has been interviewed.
