The Grundy Economic Development Council recently released an update in regards to the Competitive Power Ventures Three Rivers Project.
The update was provided by Nancy Norton with the GEDC
CPV Three Rivers Project Manager Mike Bruno spoke about the state-of-the-art 1,250-megawatt natural-gas-fueled electric generating facility that will power up to 1.25 million homes and businesses in Northern Illinois.
At peak construction, more than 500 union workers will be onsite. Once operational, the energy center will require a staff of 25 full-time personnel and approximately 75 additional jobs will be created to provide ongoing services to the plant.
The 120-acre project site will be south of Dresden Generating Station in Goose Lake Township
