The unemployment rate in Grundy County increased over year over. The rate in May of 2019 was 4.1 percent compared to 3.8 percent in May of 2018.
The Grundy Economic Development Council said the labor force in Grundy County consists of 25,151 people and 24,117 are employed.
Meanwhile, the unemployment rate in Kankakee, LaSalle and Livingston County decreased year over year, while Kendall and Will County had an increase.
The rate in Illinois decreased from 3.7 percent to 3.6 percent.
