A Livingston County court case recently concluded.
Amber Watters, 30, of Odell and Tara Swartz, 32, of Dwight were arrested by the Dwight Narcotics Unit and Livingston County Proactive Unit after a search warrant was conducted at a residence in Odell last June.
Forty uncapped and loaded hypodermic syringes, 20 plastic capsules with purported heroin and heroin residue along with other drug paraphernalia were seized from the residence.
Watters pled guilty to two counts of undelivery of heroin, unlawful possession of a controlled substance and endangering the life of a child. She was sentenced to three years in the Illinois Department of Corrections.
Meanwhile, Swartz pled guilty to bringing heroin into a penal institution and unlawful possession of heroin, a class four felony. Swartz was placed on two years of probation, sentenced to 180 days in the Livingston County Jail and must perform 120 hours of community service. Swartz also has a pending drug case in Will County.
