The Grundy County Sheriff’s Department recently had two officers that graduated from the Illinois Law Enforcement Training Academy which was held in Macon County.

Grundy County Sheriff Ken Briley congratulated Alicia Headrick of Wilmington High School and Thomas Youskevtch from Coal City High School on becoming deputies at the Sheriff’s Department.

He said both officers will begin their field training program this week.

Headrick, Youkevtch and Tyler Post from Morris High School were hired in September of 2018.

Prior to working at the Sheriff’s Office, Post worked with the Wisconsin Highway Patrol.

The three officers are former Grundy Area Vocational Center Criminal Justice students and the top three candidates after Deputy Sheriff testing was completed.
