Four individuals were arrested for selling alcohol to minors in District 5. The Illinois State Police conducted Alcohol Countermeasure Enforcement surveillance at various establishments on Tuesday, March 14th. The purpose of the patrols is to determine which businesses may be selling alcoholic beverages to minors.

The ultimate goals are to enforce underage drinking laws and save lives by preventing impaired driving crashes and fatalities. Twenty-four total locations were surveilled in Minooka, Morris and Shorewood. Four establishments were involved in the sale of an alcoholic beverage to a minor.

Bertin Azaarel Lechuga Garcia, 25, of Morris, an employee of Morris Liquor; Angela Wilson, 46, of Dwight, an employee from Four Season Liquor in Morris; Nikhil Jitta, 23, of Naperville from Shorewood Wine and Spirits and Ankit Shah, 49, of Orland Park, an employee of CD Liquors in Minooka were arrested for Unlawful Delivery of Alcoholic Liquor to a Minor, a Class A misdemeanor and released on a notice to appear in court.
