Two children were injured in a rollover ATV accident that occurred in the 4700 block of Minooka Road on Sunday, June 21st.
The Grundy County Sheriff’s Office learned an adult driver was attempting to make a U-turn when the crash happened. The ATV then drove off into the shoulder in an attempt to make a wide U-turn.
During this turn, the wheels caught and caused the ATV to roll onto its passenger side in the middle of the road. Police officials say two juvenile passengers were thrown from the passenger side and one was briefly pinned underneath the ATV.
The riders were able to pick up the ATV and move it prior to any first responders getting on scene. One juvenile passenger suffered a wrist injury and the other suffered a right lower leg injury which was treated at the Morris Hospital.
