Three people were injured in a major single vehicle crash that occurred at 5175 Pine Bluff Road around 2 a.m. on Saturday, October 10th.
Grundy County Sheriff Ken Briley said a vehicle was westbound on Pine Bluff Road, just west of Heron Court, when for unknown reasons left the roadway, entered the south ditch, then struck a driveway causing the vehicle to go airborne.
At the scene of the crash, Jillien Waleryszak, 23, of Morris and Hannah Potter, 22, of Morris were spotted by Deputies sitting in the grass outside the vehicle complaining of pain from their backs, chest, and bodies.
Officers also found Zander Stanley, 19, of Seneca trapped in the rear seat on the driver’s side of the vehicle. Stanley was extricated from the vehicle and transported to Morris Hospital.
Waleryszak was airlifted to Good Samaritan Hospital for her injuries. Potter was transported to Morris Hospital for her injuries.
Briley said Deputies smelled a strong odor of alcoholic beverage from within the vehicle.
No citations have been issued at this time as the crash remains under investigation by the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office.
