A Will County man pled guilty to two charges in Grundy County on Monday, January 10th.
Theodore Lee, 42, of Shorewood entered into a blind guilty plea to the charge of Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, a class four felony and DUI. As part of the blind plea agreement, the charge of unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, a class three felony was dropped.
Lee was arrested by the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office for DUI, Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, and Improper Lane Usage following a traffic stop on the Interstate 80 westbound on-ramp in Morris on February 23rd of 2020.
Lee will be sentenced by Grundy County Judge Lance Peterson during a sentencing hearing on March 3rd. Prosecutors will be seeking a prison term of no more than three years. However, Lee could also receive probation or conditional discharge.
