Several individuals were indicted by a Grundy County grand jury on Wednesday. Jeremiah Embry, 29, of Chatsworth, was indicted for domestic battery, a class 4 felony. David Berkey, 39, of Morris, was indicted in two counts for domestic battery, both class 4 felonies.

Lashonda Wright, 47, of Chicago, was indicted for retail theft, a class 3 felony. Imogene Higgins, 70, of Chicago, was indicted for a continuing financial crimes enterprise, a class 1 felony; and for aggravated identity theft, a class 3 felony.

Jacob Krull, 44, of Coal City, was indicted for the unlawful possession of heroin and fentanyl, both class 4 felonies. Sharon McDaniels, 41, of Chicago, was indicted for aggravated driving while under the influence, a class 4 felony. Melissa Nosal, 24, of Minooka, was indicted for aggravated battery to a police officer, a class 2 felony; and for criminal damage to state supported property, a class 4 felony.

Samantha Schuler, 30, of Plainfield, was indicted for the unlawful possession of cocaine, a class 4 felony. Timothy Vacha, 40, of Braidwood, was indicted for the unlawful possession of methamphetamine, a class 3 felony.

The public is advised that a charge is merely an accusation and that a defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
