The Village of Seneca is adding another class A liquor license to its books.

Seneca Mayor Jeff Olson said a retail liquor license is considered a Class A license. With this license, a business owner can sell alcohol, malt beverages and wine. Retail businesses like grocery or convenience stores are required to have a Class A liquor license.

Olson said Seneca has empty store fronts and that video gaming is big. He added a lot of people have discussed adding another liquor license with him and he thinks adding a 12th license is in the village’s best interests.
