State Senator Sue Rezin was on WCSJ’s People are Talking this week discussing an increase in crime in Illinois. Rezin said an increase in crime on Illinois roadways is a crisis, and she supports Governor J.B. Prizker’s commitment to spend $150 million to identify high crime areas:

Rezin said police departments need to be empowered to protect their communities.

According to the Chicago Police Department, the city is on track to suffer the most annual murders since 1996.
