For the second year in a row, 79th District State Rep. Lindsay Parkhurst’s office is partnering with the Marine Corps Reserve for the Toys for Tots program.
Parkhurst said her office’s goal is to help economically challenged children in the 79th District enjoy their holiday season, asking constituents to look out for a donation box and donate a new, unwrapped toy for a child in need.
Parkhurst said there is a collection box in the 79th District Office at 370 E. Court Street in Kankakee and the final day to drop off new, unwrapped toys is December 10.
Additional drop-off locations can be found on the Kankakee Toys for Tots website at kankakeeil.toysfortots.org.
For questions relating to the Toys for Tots program, including registration and distribution, please contact the Kankakee Coordinating Officer Gail Oliver at 815-277-9229 and Parkhurst’s office can be reached at 815-523-7779.
