State Representative Jed Davis was on WCSJ, last week, providing pending legislation updates.

He talked about a bill that will increase financial efficiency in the foster parenting process.

It is deadline week for legislators and Davis talked about some of the bills he’s trying to get through for his 75th district include legislation to prevent local zoning authority from standing in the way of home-based business start-ups and legislation to protect policy owners during the window of time between expiration of a short term insurance policy and their year-end policy renewal ability.

He said there’s one bill in particular that would verily benefit consumers yet, keeps getting push back.

Davis said they aren’t going away on this bill though, and plan to bring national resources and expert witnesses to add support and needed attention to the work they’re doing to accomplish this task of advancing this legislation to senate.
