A Procter and Gamble logistics facility could be coming to Grundy County. The Grundy County Tax Committee on Wednesday approved a five year 50 percent tax abatement agreement with the company.
Nancy Norton with the Grundy Economic Development Council said it will be a one million square foot logistics facility.
She also said 300 new jobs would be created with the project.
Norton also had this to report.
Construction of the new facility could begin in November of this year and be completed by July of 2022. The Grundy County Board still has to approve the tax abatement agreement.
Other taxing bodies in the project include: the city of Morris, Morris Fire Department, Saratoga Grade School, Morris High School, Morris Area Library, Saratoga Township Roads, Saratoga Township and Joliet Junior College.
