Petition packets for those wishing to appear on the Primary election ballot are now available.
Grundy County Clerk Kay Olson announced yesterday that established political party county candidates who want to appear on the March 17, 2020 General Primary ballot may begin picking up petition packets from the Grundy Clerk’s Office beginning Tuesday, September 3 at 8 a.m.
The first day to circulate petitions is Tuesday, September 3. Grundy County offices to be nominated at the Primary include Circuit Clerk, Coroner, State’s Attorney and County Board Members for Districts 1, 2, and 3.
Petitions may be filed in person by the candidate, or a candidate representative, beginning Monday, November 25 through Monday, December 2, 2019. The Clerk’s Office is open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and will be open until 5 p.m. on the last day of filing.
They can also be mailed to Grundy County Clerk at 111 E. Washington Street Room 12 Morris, IL 60450. Mailed petitions must be returned by Tuesday, December 2.
