More than 15 fire departments were called to a grain bin rescue at 202 West Mondamin Street in Minooka.
The Minooka Fire Department said an individual was trapped in the grain bin up to his waist when they arrived on scene around 12:45 p.m.
The man was rescued shortly after 4 p.m. and transported to an area hospital. During the rescue, the man was alert and in stable condition
Employees from the Grain Company as well as first responders emptied the silo in order to perform the rescue. More details will be released in the future.
