Anyone who hasn't yet taken the U.S. Census has through Thursday to do it. With, over 99-percent of households accounted for, the count will end just about two weeks earlier than planned.
Governor J.B. Pritzker says there is still time to fill the Census out.
The Census happens every ten years and is used to determine federal funding for states and representation in the federal government in the form of seats in Congress.
Everyone living the U.S. is required by law to take the Census. The online form will be available through early Friday morning. Filling out the Census by phone will only be available during normal hours on Thursday. Any mailed-in paper copies need to be postmarked by Thursday.
Locally, Kendall County is showing an 82.2 percent self-response rate. DeKalb County is showing a self-response rate of 74.9 percent.
