Two home invasion charges were filed in Grundy County this week against an East Dundee man. The Morris Police Department said 30-year-old Thomas Mckinney allegedly battered a female several times inside a home in the 400 block of East Washington Street around 4 a.m. on April 18th.
Police officials also say McKinney entered the residence through a second story window and damaged several items. Police officials say McKinney had a former domestic relationship with the female.
McKinney was originally charged with two counts of criminal trespass to a residence, both class four felonies, domestic battery and criminal damage to property, both misdemeanors.
After further investigation, prosecutors decided to file the home invasion charges this week, which are class X felonies. McKinney remains free on bond.
