Several renovations will be made to the athletic facilities at Morris High School. Superintendent Craig Ortiz said the board of education last night approved quotes for new turf and a scoreboard for the football field as well as a new scoreboard for the high school gymnasium.
Ortiz said the board gave permission to seek bids for new bleachers for the football field.
Ortiz said the cost for the two scoreboards and bleachers will be around $600,000 and $800,000 for the turf.
Ortiz said the bleachers as well as a new press box will be constructed on the opposite side of the home bleachers now.
All the renovations will begin in May and be completed by the start of football season.
