Two men were arrested following a fight at the Plano Wal-Mart Store last month, but two more suspects went unidentified.
18-year-old Anthony J. Martin, of Yorkville was arrested and charged with aggravated battery, mob action, and criminal trespass to property. 18-year-old Trevion Smith, of Plano, is charged with aggravated battery and mob action.
Police documents obtained by WSPY news through a Freedom of Information Act request show that four suspects arrived at the Walmart store in a gray Volvo on October 27, went into the store, and attacked two people before leaving.
Anthony Martin was identified by witnesses and was taken into custody later that day. He is said to have told police that he took part in the battery and that the victim deserved it. He is also said to have told police that he knew one of the victims and had problems with him. He said he wasn't interested in the other victim.
Trevion Smith was identified once police tracked the gray Volvo seen in security footage back to his home. He denied being involved, but was seen on security footage entering and leaving the store with the alleged attackers.
One victim was bleeding from his lip and upper eye the second was hit in the back of the head. The two are brothers. The one who was hit in the head told police that several men had jumped his brother that he was hit in the head when he tried to help.
Both Martin and Smith have court dates in December.
