A single vehicle accident occurred on Interstate 80 on Friday evening at mile marker 112 at approximately 7:30 p.m.
Witnesses say the vehicle, following the accident, came to rest near the overpass at the Morris exit and that traffic was blocked for a very brief period of time.
One male occupant of the vehicle, whose name has not yet been released, was evaluated by emergency services technicians on scene, and then was transported to Morris Hospital with minor injuries.
The male was the sole occupant of the vehicle. The Morris Police, Grundy County Sheriff’s Department, Morris Fire Department and Ambulance Service all assisted at the scene along with the Illinois State Police.
The accident remains under investigation by authorities.
