The Morris Theatre Guild will present their latest production this month.
Latitude 41 Theater is bringing “I Hate Hamlet” by Paul Rudnick to the Morris Theater Guild July 19-28.
The production follows the story of an up-and-coming young television star who is offered every actor’s dream role: playing Hamlet onstage. But it comes with one big complication - he hates Hamlet.
The young actor then has to play host to the ghost of John Barrymore, who has come to convince him to play the part.
The two embark on a wildly funny duel over women, art, success, duty and television.
Cast members include William Gillespie of Morris, David Tabler of Yorkville, Hope Taylor of Shorewood and many more.
The productions dates are June 19, 20, 26, and 27 at 7:30 p.m. and July 21 and July 28 at 2 p.m. at the Morris Theatre Guild Playhouse located at 516 W. Illinois Avenue in Morris.
Tickets are $13 in advance online or $15 at the door.
