A Morris teenager was sentenced in Grundy County on March 25th. Zach Weathersby pled guilty to domestic battery while having a previous conviction, a class four felony and was sentenced to 30 months of probation.
The 19-year-old was also sentenced to 120 days in the Grundy County Jail, must submit to random drug test, and not consume alcohol. The Morris Police Department said Weathersby struck a female family member in the 2,000 block of Sycamore Drive on January 29th.
In January of 2020, Weathersby also pled guilty to another domestic battery charge out of Grundy County and was placed on one year of conditional discharge. Weathersby also has a pending heroin dealing case out of DeKalb County.
