A Morris man was sentenced in Grundy County on Monday, March 1st. Terrence Hester pled guilty to domestic battery while having one previous conviction, a class four felony and was sentenced to one year in the Illinois Department of Corrections.
Hester was given credit for serving 119 days in the Grundy County Jail and will be on four years of parole once released from prison.
Morris Police Deputy Chief Chad Skelton said the 43-year-old Hester punched a female acquaintance several times in the head area at a residence on Wauponsee Street in Morris around 6:20 a.m. on Tuesday, November 3rd.
Skelton said the female was transported to Morris Hospital for her injuries. Hester has a previous domestic battery conviction out of Will County in 2019.
