The Morris Police Department arrested a man for beating and strangling a woman at a residence on Sharon Drive around 3:15 a.m. on Tuesday, May 17th.

Josh Cabrera, 20, of Morris was charged with two counts of Aggravated Domestic Battery, both class two felonies and two counts of domestic battery, both class A misdemeanors.

Morris Police Chief Chad Skelton said Cabrera allegedly strangled a female acquaintance at the aforementioned address after an argument. Cabrera was transported to the Grundy County Jail where his bond was set at $20,000.
