A 47-year-old Morris man was indicted by a Grundy County grand jury on Wednesday for his alleged role in a stabbing incident.
Lonny Neiheisel was charged with two counts of Aggravated Battery, both class three felonies. The Morris Police Department said Neiheisel allegedly stabbed a 33-year-old Morris man in the 1200 block of Grant Street on May 28th.
Investigators say Neiheisel and the victim were arguing over an eviction. The victim was transported to Morris Hospital and later released. Investigators would not say where the victim was stabbed.
After the alleged incident, Neiheisel was charged with misdemeanor battery, but the charges were upgraded on Wednesday following an investigation.
Neiheisel was arrested by Grundy County authorities today and remains in the Grundy County Jail on a $75,000 bond.
