The Morris City Council this week had a long discussion in regards to a variance request for an accessory building that was also talked about at the last meeting.
At the meeting in August, Amanda King spoke on behalf of Nancy Reyes, who started to build an accessory building on her property at 1517 Carol Anne Drive without a building permit.
Last month, the council did not take action on that request because they wanted more time to think about their decision.
At the meeting this week, the council did approve the request but with stipulations as city council member Herb Wyeth explains.
During the meeting this week, King thought the $500 was excessive.
The city council’s vote was unanimous to allow Reyes to construct the building.
