The Morris Judiciary and License Committee on Monday discussed increasing the number of mobile food vendor permits.
The request was made by Tiffany Olson.
Morris Mayor Dick Kopczick said the city currently has three mobile food vender licenses. The committee was in favor of increasing the licenses to four. Committee members also made a request to increase the license from $75 to $250. Both requests will be consider at the next judiciary and license committee meeting and the city council will have the final say.
Meanwhile, the committee on Monday did approve four business license applications. Troy Johnson will operate Country Blaze BBQ at 1514 Creek Drive; Thommy Evans will be opening an antique and collective business at 315 Bedford Road; a business license was approved for Starbucks at 44 Green Acres Drive and one for Jersey Mike’s at 1731 North Division Street.
