The Morris City Council on Monday approved four items that will allow a local business to expand.
A public hearing was held on the proposed vacation of the south 10 feet of the 400 block of West Illinois Avenue.
After the hearing, the council approved the vacation of the property, a front yard set-back variance, a side yard set-back variance and a rear yard set-back variance.
Morris Mayor Dick Kopczick said the vacation will help Jeremy Cade and his business on West Illinois Avenue.
During the public hearing, Kopczick said the appraised cost of the vacated property was around $4,000.
