A rollover crash in Will County involving three people from Minooka resulted in a woman’s death.
Illinois State Police responded to the crash at the intersection of U.S. Route 52 and County Line Road on Monday, October 7 at 7:10 a.m.
According to an ISP preliminary investigation, a Ford Escape driven by a 17-year-old minor from Joliet was traveling southbound on S. County Line Road and stopped at the intersection of Route 52.
At that time, a Jeep Wrangler driven by Matthew Ewert, 43 of Minooka, was traveling eastbound on Route 52 when the Ford failed to yield for oncoming traffic and entered the intersection.
Police officials said the front of the Ford struck the rear driver side of the Jeep causing the vehicle to overturn multiple times.
A passenger in the vehicle, Paige Quinn, 27 of Minooka, was ejected from the vehicle causing her life-threatening injuries.
She was transported to an area hospital where she was pronounced deceased.
The other vehicles' occupants were transported to area hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.
llinois State Police said an investigation remains ongoing.
