A Minooka man with a history of DUI’s was sentenced in Grundy County on Monday, January 5th.
Luke Churnovic pled guilty to a new charge of Aggravated DUI while having two previous convictions, a class two felony.
The 49-year-old Churnovic was sentenced to 30 months probation and 180 days in the Grundy County Jail.
If Churnovic completes his probation, the jail sentence will not have to be served.
As part of the plea agreement, Churnovic also completed 500 hours of community service and attended the victim impact panel.
Churnovic was arrested by the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office for DUI in the area of Gooselake Road on September 7th of 2019.
His previous DUI’s were out of Will County in 1990 and DuPage County in 1998.
