A Grundy County grand jury last week indicted a Minooka man for unlawful restraint.

The indictment alleges that 38-year-old Jeffrey Darken without legal authority detained a female family member by blocking her from exiting a walk-in closet and would not allow her to leave a residence in Minooka on June 15th.

Darken was arrested by the Minooka Police Department in early July and remains free on a $10,000 bond.

In the past two years, Darken has been arrested for battery and violating an order of protection.
