A 20 year-old Minooka man was arrested for Battery and Disorderly Conduct after he allegedly grabbed a female TV reporter and yelled an obscenity during a live broadcast in Shorewood on Saturday night.
Shorewood Police arrested Eric Farina of O'Toole Dr., who was issued a $2,500 personal recognizance bond and was released with an upcoming court date.
The incident happened during news coverage at 10:00 p.m. of damage from the severe weather that hit Shorewood on Saturday.
A female reporter from WGN-TV was reportedly grabbed by Farina on her shoulders. Farina then reportedly uttered profanity amid the broadcast and left the area.
Another WGN employee had posted a screen capture of the incident and it was shared on social media.
Farina was identified by police and was located on Sunday morning at his residence where he was taken into custody and released on the recognizance bond.
